SONDER MOMENTS
UNIVERSITY PROJECT: LOOPS AND ECHOES
For this project, I conveyed how 'loops and echoes' exist within our lives as students attending Royal Holloway. I explored visual parallels between the past and present through archival photographs and my own video footage.

Research and concept
ARCHIVES
After my visit to Royal Holloway's archives, I knew I wanted to explore how life has changed, by researching the history of Royal Holloway to modern day. As a student myself, this project was very fulfilling and hopefully my work will be revisited by a student in the far future.
Mixing new with old...
PHOTOGRAPHY
I merged multiple layers of different art forms to create a collage effect. I animated outlines in Procreate to symbolise ghosts of the past. I then layered these over archival photos and my own video footage to juxtapose the past and present.
Compositing sound and editing
POST PRODUCTION
I chose a repetitive instrumental to evoke emotion but not overpower the visuals and writing. This helped the animations flow and information unfold seamlessly.
